June 3. Got the truck back! We ran errands today - laundry, groceries, fuel, returned the rental car. Visited the Walter Wright Pioneer Village which has buildings from the 1900's. One of the displays is a 50 foot Spruce log that is covered in burls, pretty amazing. As an X fire department employee the old fire hall was really interesting.  You see what they had to work with and it's no wonder whole towns burned to the ground back then. The general store had the "latest" in washing machines. Probably the one building that hasn't changed much is the school house. The classroom wasn't much different from today. It was nice to have a day to relax. Tomorrow we're off to Fort Nelson.
